Frequently Asked Questions
Is GridFlow safe to use with real money?
GridFlow only has trading permissions — it can place and cancel orders, and read your balance. It cannot withdraw funds. We also recommend restricting your API key to your server's IP address on Binance for an extra layer of protection.
That said, grid trading itself carries risk. If the price drops significantly below your lower range, you'll be holding crypto at a loss. Only invest what you're comfortable having locked in orders.
Does GridFlow hold my API keys?
No. Your API keys are stored encrypted on your own server in your own database. GridFlow (the company) never sees your keys. This is the core difference from cloud-based bots like 3Commas.
What happens if my VPS goes down?
The bot stops running. No new orders are placed, but existing open orders on Binance remain active — Binance holds them, not your server. When your VPS comes back up and the containers restart, the bot resumes checking and rebalancing on its normal 10-second cycle.
For maximum uptime, use a VPS provider with a good SLA (DigitalOcean guarantees 99.99% uptime).
Can I run multiple bots at the same time?
Yes, there's no limit. You can run bots on different symbols simultaneously (BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, BNB/USDT, etc.). Be mindful of:
- Binance API rate limits — Binance limits requests per minute. If many bots tick simultaneously, they share this limit.
- Server resources — a $6 droplet handles 3–5 bots comfortably. Upgrade if you run more.
Does it work on Binance Futures?
No. GridFlow is Spot trading only. Futures support is not planned.
What pairs does it support?
Any Spot pair available on Binance — BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, BNB/USDT, SOL/USDT, etc. Enter the symbol as BTC/USDT (with the slash).
Can I use it on Binance.US?
Not currently. GridFlow connects to Binance Global (api.binance.com). Binance.US has a separate API. Support may be added in a future update.
What's the minimum investment per bot?
Binance requires a minimum order value of ~$10–15 per order depending on the pair. With 5 grid levels, your minimum investment is around $75–100 to avoid "min notional" errors.
A safe minimum is $200–500 per bot to have reasonable order sizes at each level.
Will it work if I have a bad internet connection?
GridFlow runs on your VPS, not your personal computer. Your local internet connection doesn't matter at all — the bot talks directly from your server to Binance.
Can I modify or copy the software?
No. GridFlow is commercial software. The license allows you to run it on one server for personal or business use. Redistribution, resale, or modification of the software is not permitted.
How do I cancel / get a refund?
Due to the nature of software licenses (the key works immediately upon delivery), we generally cannot offer refunds. If you have a technical issue that we cannot resolve, contact support@gridflowbot.com and we'll work with you.
